CARE FOR LEATHER OR UPHOLSTERED BEDS

We offer a wide variety of different fabrics for our upholstered beds and we strongly recommend using a professional cleaning service if you wish to clean an upholstered bed or remove a stain.

Leather qualities
Real leather is a natural product and genuine hides will show the ‘hallmarks of life’ making each bed unique. A leather bed will mellow and develop a patina which will enhance its beauty. Several hides are usually required, so there may be some variation in shades. Water-based vegetable dyes penetrate each hide to a differing degree so there may be some variations in color. Color samples are only a guide. We use a range of leather qualities, from soft to firmer hides. Softer hides may develop wrinkles and creases during the first weeks of use. This is normal and not a cause for concern.

Moving the bed
The mattress and box spring/foundation are supported on the bed. Do not move the bed without first removing the mattress and box spring/foundation. Do not pull or push the bed from the head or foot end only, as this may cause serious damage. Instead, with one person on either side of the bed, hold the frame at the midway point, and carefully lift or slide the bed into position
